Term 2 big idea

Our unit for Term 2 is “The World Around Me”. Students will take a journey through their community and discover the people and places that are present in their everyday lives. Children will visit different habitats and discover plants and animals that share our community and how they can care for their environment. Within this unit children will explore the people who help them in their everyday lives this will include doctors, dentists, teachers, vets, shop assistants and so on. We plan to transform our classrooms into different dramatic role-play areas so children are exposed to a variety of environments. The role-play areas will also facilitate imaginative play as well as extending children’s vocabulary.

Skittles

Pretzels

Gummy Bears

Mini Marshmallows

Goldfish biscuits

Teddy bear Graham crackers.

Fruit loops

jelly beans

chocolate buttons or drops

This coming sunday (10th of February) we will be celebrating sports day. Please dress your child in a BLUE tshirt on this day to represent our class. We will be receiving more information from the PE department in next few days.

Please remember to label all clothing and belongings with your child's name to ensure they go home with the right person!

Please also refrain from sending toys from home with your child to school. We are getting more and more children bringing toys each day which makes it very hard to keep track of what toys belong to each child and we don't want expensive things getting lost! We have plenty of toys in class!

Please also remember to dress your child in correct uniform. There are many children coming in with incorrect uniform or no uniform at all!
