I am so excited to have your child as part of our classroom family and be working alongside you all in your child's learning journey. My name is Ms Kasey and i will be your child's teacher alongside my assistant teacher Ms Jovy.

Qatar National Day

  • thursday the 13th we re celebrating qatar national day with schoolwide celebrations. Please dress your child in Qatar national dress.

Other news/events

  • Our assembly will also be the morning of the 13th at 7.30.
  • Please DO NOT remove artwork from the drying rack. When art is ready it will come home with your child.

Classroom news!

· This Sunday is our class trip to Baladna Park. This is in relation to our term 2 big idea, “the world around me”. This unit is about animals and transportation. Students can feed camels and rabbits, drive water boats, and enjoy a long ride in our school bus.

· Kg1 seahorse’s assembly. Assembly will be held on this Thursday morning at 7.30. Our children will put on a special Qatari national day celebration assembly. Please dress children in national dress for this day as we will also be having our school Qatar national day celebration.

· Classroom illnesses: If your child is sick, please keep them home until they are well. There are a lot of nasty bugs being spread around our classroom. We do not want other children getting sick or the teachers, Ms Kasey and Ms Jovy get sick too!

· As we begin to focus on the letter of the week it would be super helpful to continue this learning at home by talking to your child about things starting with I and reminding them of the letter I sound.

· Please allow your children to become familiar with jolly phonics as we will following this in class.

Today the children were treated to a visit from Ali the paramedic. They had so much fun exploring the ambulance and learning about how paramedics save lives. Emanuel even got to be a part of the demonstration.

Important class Information.

Our school is a nut FREE school and we have a NO nut policy - No nuts, NO peanut butter sandwiches and NO food containing nuts please.

This is extremely important as we do have children with nut allergies. Any food found containing nuts will be sent home unconsumed.


Please take notes of the following things:

-Please be on time, class starts at 7:00 am and pick up is at 12:00 noon sharp.

-Please send extra clothes labelled with your child's name. These are for any accidents that may happen and will be kept inside their bags in case they are needed throughout the year.

-Please label all items your child brings to school with their name.

-For your child's snack, please send healthy small snacks such as fresh fruits, sandwiches (Finger food). Please do not send in sweets, chips, fried foods such as nuggets and french fries, candy bars or sodas.

-Please send an art apron for the children to use during painting with long sleeves. You can send dad's old shirt to use during painting if you like.

-Please send enough water to last your child throughout the day.

-If your child needs to take any medication on a regular basis, please contact the school nurse. All medication must be given to the school nurse as soon as your child comes to school.

-Kindly be informed that children must not bring jewelry to school. We will not be responsible for any losses.

-Kindly keep up to date with our KG1 Team’s Google page and our class KG1 Seahorses Google page for any important information and updates. I will not be sending out many emails, as all our information will be displayed on the Google site.

-Open lines of communication are extremely important and I can be contacted via my email address, you can call the school directly on the number above or you can make an appointment with me at any time.
